Furst Paws (referred to in this policy as 'we', 'us', or 'our') is an Australian-based pet first aid education brand, founded and operated by a veterinarian, existing to help pet owners feel prepared and confident in emergencies.
We operate an email mailing list through which we provide subscribers with free educational resources, practical first aid tips, and information about our products and services, including our online pet first aid course and physical first aid kit.

Furst Paws is committed to handling personal information in accordance with applicable Australian law, including:

Note regarding the small business exemption: Under section 6D of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), small businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are generally exempt from the Act. Furst Paws may currently qualify for this exemption. However, we voluntarily adopt the Australian Privacy Principles as best practice because transparency and trust are central to our values.

'Spam Act' — means the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)

We use MailerLite UAB (a company incorporated in Lithuania) as our email marketing platform to store subscriber data, manage our mailing list, and send our emails. By subscribing, your personal information will be stored on MailerLite's servers and processed in accordance with their privacy policy. MailerLite acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your information for their own marketing purposes.

7.2 Other Third Parties

All commercial messages we send will clearly identify Furst Paws as the sender, include our accurate contact details, and include a clear and functional unsubscribe mechanism.
